Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy Services

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am credentialed with some major insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Shield of California, HealthNet, Evernorth, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, and Carelon. Coverage varies by plan, so please reach out to verify your specific benefits and to see if I am credentialed with an insurance not listed.

What if I do not have insurance - do you accept out-of-pocket clients?

Yes. If you are not using insurance, sessions are available at my private-pay rate of $175 per 50-minute session.

What if I prefer not to use my insurance?

You are not required to use your insurance benefits. However, if I am in-network with your plan, you will be asked to sign an Insurance Opt-Out form in order to proceed with private-pay sessions.

Can you provide a Superbill for my PPO insurance?

Yes. I can provide monthly out-of-network Superbills that you may submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement.

Immigration Psychological Evaluations

What is the cost of an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?

The fee for a completed Immigration Psychological Evaluation is $900.

How long does the evaluation process take?

Evaluations are typically completed through two 1.5-hour interviews, scheduled within 1–2 weeks. You can expect the finalized evaluation within 2–3 weeks after the final interview. This includes one draft review with your immigration attorney.

My attorney needs the evaluation completed urgently. Do you offer expedited services?

Yes. Expedited evaluations are available for an additional $200 fee.

What do I need to get started with an Immigration Psychological Evaluation?

We begin with a free initial consultation to ensure a good fit, review the process, discuss scheduling, and confirm the fee. If you choose to move forward, a non-refundable $200 deposit is required to secure the first interview. This amount is applied toward the total evaluation cost.

What is the payment plan for Immigration Psychological Evaluations?

Payment is broken up into 3 payments: the initial $200 non-refundable deposit due when scheduling the initial interview, $350 due at the start of the first interview, and the remaining $350 due at the start of the second interview.

Are there any additional fees for Immigration Psychological Evaluations?

Yes. Additional fees apply for expedited evaluations, court testimony, and any extra collateral consultations requested by you or your attorney.

Session Structure & Accessibility

Do you offer services in Spanish?

Yes. I offer sessions in English, Spanish, or a blend of both—whichever feels most comfortable for you.

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

All therapy sessions and Immigration Evaluation interviews are conducted virtually. Many clients appreciate the privacy, comfort, and convenience of telehealth.

Can I attend sessions from anywhere?

No. Because I am licensed in California, you must be physically located within the state of California during all therapy sessions and Immigration Evaluation interviews.
